These Halloween Oreo cookies are hit whenever I make them!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because I love all the fun treats I get to make! I knew I needed some Oreo Halloween treats to round out all my tasty Halloween snacks!

Make sure to check out these other fun Halloween Treats!

  • Spider Cookies
  • Witches Fingers
  • Halloween Donuts
  • Graveyard Cake
  • Monster Rice Krispie Treats

For these Oreo Halloween treats you will need different colored candy melts, some coconut oil or shortening, sprinkles, candy eyes, and a little black gel or black frosting.

Love how easy these are to make!

How to make the Oreo Monsters:

  • Melt purple candy melts with a little coconut oil, dip Oreos in and then set on parchment paper
  • Before the candy melts harden gently press on sprinkles and the eye.

One eye or two- either way these monsters are cute!

How to make the Oreo Mummies:

  • Melt white candy melts with a little coconut oil, dip Oreos in and then set on parchment paper
  • Before the candy melts harden gently press on eyes, then let harden.
  • Using a spoon drizzle lines over the Oreo to create mummy wrappings. I like to add a few lines, let those set up, then add more lines, giving the appearance of multiple layers of bandages

Let each layer of wrappings harden before adding the next for a layer look!

How to make the Oreo Bats:

  • Melt black candy melts with a little coconut oil, dip Oreos in and then set on parchment paper
  • Before the candy melts harden gently press on eyes.
  • Once the Oreos covered in candy melts have set up, cut a thin Oreo in half creating the wings.
  • Carefully separate the dipped Oreo and place the wings inside. Fix the wings in place with a little of the melted candy melts on the back of the wings. Add a little more of the candy melt between the bottom and top piece of the Oreo (the pieces you separated to put the wings on), and press back together.

Make sure to add some candy melt inside the Oreo to make it stick back together!

How to make the Frankenstein Oreos:

  • Melt green candy melts with a little coconut oil, dip Oreos in and then set on parchment paper
  • Before the candy melts harden gently press on eyes.
  • As the candy melts are setting up use a toothpick to make a small indentation for the mouth.
  • Once the candy melts have set up completely pipe on the hair and stitches.

How to make Oreo Jack-O-Lanterns:

Cute Jack-o-Lanterns!

I had so much fun coming up with all the fun monsters to make! You can make a whole bunch of just one or go crazy and make a bunch like I did. Either way they are super cute and everyone loves them!

Coming up with Halloween Oreo cookies ideas was so fun and there are so many possibilities! Which one is your favorite? I can’t choose just one!

Halloween cookie decorating has never been easier!

So many possibilities! What’s your favorite?

How to melt candy melts?

I like to melt 1 cup of candy melts with 1 tbs coconut oil or shortening at a time. Heat for 30 seconds at 50% power, stir, repeat until melted.

If the candy melts are still too thick add more coconut oil 1 tsp at a time until you get your desired consistency.

I loved using all the different colors for these treats!

Notes

Tips and Tricks
  • One 12 oz bag of candy melts will cover almost entire container of Oreos. The exact amount will vary depending on how much coconut oil you used to thin the candy melts.
  • Instead of the food gel you could pipe on black frosting. You can make black frosting my adding black food gel to my dark chocolate frosting recipe.
