These are seriously so easy to make! The hardest part to making these is remembering to take your cream cheese out of the refrigerator to let it soften! But even if you forget you can just use a mixer to mix the filling for you!
How to make cream cheese stuffed mushrooms"
- Rinse and remove the stems from your mushrooms (save the stems for another dish- they’d be great in chicken fried rice!)
- Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper
- Place the caps face down on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake at 400°F for 5 minutes, flip and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
- Mix together your cream cheese, parmesan, mozzarella, and garlic powder.
- Fill each cap with your cream cheese filling and top with diced tomatoes.
- Bake for another 10-15 minutes! They are done when the filling just starts to brown!
Can you freeze cream cheese stuffed mushrooms?
Yes! I recommend making them according to the recipe, letting them cool, then freezing. To reheat simply microwave or throw into the oven at 400°F and bake until nice and hot!
Can you stuff mushrooms the night before?
Yes! This recipe is really versatile. I'd bake the mushrooms as per the instructions for 5-7 minutes, then stuff with the filling, cover and refrigerate. Then the next day pop them into your preheated oven and bake for another 10 minutes or so!
These cream cheese stuffed mushrooms are perfect for snacking on during game night, served at a fancy dinner to impress your friends, or as a quick and easy appetizer for your next bbq! Give these a try and let me know how you like them!
