Ever wonder whose castle is at Disneyland? Which fairytale movie is the castle from?
Every Disney park has a unique castle. Towering over the end of Main Street at Disneyland in California is a charming fortress from a fairytale - the iconic Disneyland castle.
f you aren't able to make it to the parks make sure to check out some of my favorite copycat recipes! Like cranberry mint juleps, hot cocoa beignets, and peppermint marshmallow wands!
Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and Tokyo's Disneyland have the Cinderella castle.
Shanghai Disneyland has the Enchanted Storybook Castle, which is said to represent all the princesses’ castles in one.
Then there is the new castle in Hong Kong called the Castle of Magical Dreams.
This latest castle is said to represent 13 different Disney Princess Story castles in just one castle (Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, Merida, Moana, and the Frozen Castle with Anna and Elsa).
Both Disneyland Park in Paris and Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California has the Sleeping Beauty's Castle.
They aren’t identical though and we think there is something a little extra special about the original.
The Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland Park in California has had a few changes and upgrades over the years, however it is the castle that Walt Disney had imagined when he first dreamed of Disneyland.
I don’t know about you, but I think that makes it pretty special.
Disney Castle in Germany?
Sleeping Beauty's castle design in Disneyland, CA is based off of the real Neuschwanstein castle located in the village of Hohenschwangau, Germany. This castle started being built in 1869 and is a popular tourist attraction to this day.

The Disney family crest hangs above the archway as you cross over the drawbridge and enter into the castle towards Fantasyland.

Whose castle is at Disneyland?
Although it is Sleeping Beauty's Castle at Disneyland- it is so much more than that!
The Disneyland Park Castle is beautiful during the day but by night it is extraordinary. All lit up, it is picture perfect. Making sure to take time to walk by the castle at night during your trip is a must.
Some evenings, the Sleeping Beauty Castle is the focal point of the fireworks and incredible projections.
If you are traveling near the Holidays make sure to check out when the castle gets a Holiday makeover- it’s even more magical. The castle is covered with twinkling white lights all over. Truly memorizing.
The magic of Disney also makes it snow each night during the Holiday lighting of the castle. It’s incredible!
The nighttime view of the castle is truly a magical way to end your evening at The Happiest Place on Earth.
