Easy Baked Brie with Honey- a simple and decadent appetizer for any dinner or get together. It’s easy to make and really fast to make.

Brie is one of those cheeses that makes any meal that much better. It transforms salads, sandwiches, and is great on its own with a few crackers.

    What ingredients do you need?

    • Brie- I like to get the larger ones from Sam’s Club because they are cheaper, but you can find ~10 oz ones at most grocery stores.
    • Honey
    • Crackers or toasted baguette slices
    • Grapes- optional but pairs great with brie

What is not to love about rich gooey cheesy! It’s the perfect appetizer!

How to make baked brie with honey?

    1. Place brie on a parchment lined baking sheet, or in a shallow baking dish.
    2. Bake in preheated oven until the brie is soft and squishy- usually 10-15 minutes.
    3. Drizzle with honey.
    4. Enjoy!

Best Baked Brie Tips for Success!

Brand: The brand of brie sometimes affects the durability of being able to be baked. I’ve noticed some brands can be baked without any leaking through its rind, whereas others leak every time.

This dish is great for cheaper brie simply because melted brie is always delicious regardless of how much you spent on it.

    All about baking brie

Baking: Check your brie at 10 minutes. If you can’t tell by touching the outside of the brie if it is done, simply stick a toothpick into the center and if it comes out with melted cheese then it’s done.

Overbaking can cause leaking/a side to collapse in the oven.  It’s still tasty and edible but do remove from the oven asap. Over baking too much can leave the center hardened- and we don’t want that!

Underbaking will leave the brie to firm and not have that delicious fondue effect. If find yours is under baked after breaking in to it, or simply want to reheat the break, place baking the oven on a parchment lined baking sheet, and bake at 350°F for 5 minutes or until all melted.

Keep in mind it will spill out since you already broke into it, which is why I recommend putting it back on parchment paper.

You can bake the brie in a shallow baking dish without parchment paper, for ease of use.

Brie will stay warm and gooey for ~10-15 minutes.

Reheating brie: You can either pop the brie bake in the oven for a few minutes or try the microwave. If you microwave, I recommend heating in 15-30 second intervals, check to see if melted, then repeat until you heat to your desired consistency.

Leftover brie should be refrigerated and you can either eat cold or reheat. I highly recommend using it for my Brie and Prosciutto Salad or leftover hot turkey sandwiches!

    Other Brie Variations

You can serve with crackers, toasted baguette slices, or pita chips.

Top brie with maple syrup, raspberry jam, or try a pepper jelly for a little kick.

Sprinkle with slivered almonds or toasted pecans for a rich nutty flavor.

Or serve up several smaller brie rounds with all different toppings! Now that’s a party!

I love how simple and pretty this dish is!

    Frequent Questions Answered

Do you take the rind off brie before baking?

Nope- leave it on. It will keep all the gooeyness inside as it heats up. Then eat it up with the brie!

What goes good with baked brie?

Crackers, Toasted Baguette Slices, Apples, Grapes, Pears, Nuts, Honey, Maple Syrup, Jam and Jelly

    Can you eat brie uncooked?

Yep! It’s safe and delicious both baked and unbaked!
