Shakshuka with Feta

Shakshuka with Feta, a tasty and easy meal full of flavor and is ready in less than 20 minutes! With delicious pasta sauce, perfectly cooked eggs, topped with feta- you won’t be able to stop eating this!

Ingredients

  • 1 tbs oil
  • 1 medium onion diced- white or yellow
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 jar NY Lip-Smackin Garlic pasta sauce 25 ounces
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 ounces feta
  • Parsley to garnish

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a large sauté pan over medium high heat. Once hot add onion and bell pepper. Stir and cook until onions are soft and translucent- about 3-5 minutes.

  • Add garlic, paprika, and cumin, stir and cook for another 30 seconds to 1 minute, everything should be mixed together well.

  • Pour the pasta sauce into the pan, stir ,and bring to a simmer.

  • Once simmering, gently crack eggs over the sauce and cover the pan with a lid. Cook until eggs are done to your liking, 5-12* minutes. Just make sure the egg whites are cooked through before consuming.

Tips and Tricks
  • The eggs will take shorter or longer to cook depending on several factors. The temperature of the sauce that they are cooking in and how done you want your eggs.
